This program segment of the Leadership conference, organized by the IIT women alumnae, provides a tremendous opportunity for networking amongst all women in technology and users of technology here in the US. It is a forum for a candid discussion of topics that are particularly relevant to women no matter where they are in their career path. Be it a session on women driving STEM Initiatives, a session on outstanding women entrepreneurs, or one where women have scaled the corporate ladder or one where women have made a global impact socially; they will all spark mentor/mentee opportunities for all women. Women representing a wide range from executives ranks, rising senior managers and technologists, to those who are just out of college be they IITians and other institutions and, of course, to those who have seen it all.

Solving The Hidden Challenges Women face in Leadership Times have changed and women are taking up leading roles as business leaders. Although more women are rising up the corporate ladder, they often face a set of challenges not typically shared by their male counterparts. It’s important to shed light on some of these disparities. Join us in this exciting panel to listen from our accomplished female CEOs spoke about the key challenges women leaders face and how to overcome them.
Become a Person of Influence Women who break through into leadership positions in business get there by mastering the art of influence. In this session, explore ways to have a voice and a seat at the table in your company. Understand the mechanisms of power and influence within your organization and identify six sources of influence you may not be fully utilizing. Leave with a personal action plan to enhance your credibility, build an influential network, and make a larger impact in business.
May The Force Be with Women Entrepreneurs How did she do it? One of the biggest inspiration that motives aspiring women entrepreneurs is to hear about the success stories of successful women entrepreneurs on “How she built her first million-dollar business?” or “How she impacted a million people around the world?” Join us in this exciting panel to listen from our accomplished female entrepreneurs about their successful entrepreneurial journey, hurdles that motivated build a stronger business and how to enjoy the journey of building a successful venture.

Women advancing the common good through Technology Women have an innate capacity for leadership and community development. Women in technology face unique challenges as they carve out a place in their domains to make their contributions, be it energy, health sciences, computing and information technology, education, or social and economic empowerment. In this panel we showcase the work and leadership of women who have not only achieved impressive feats in technology, but leverage their achievements to bring wide impact to the lives of many across the globe. Women innovating, educating and training the next generation of STEM professionals The cadre of women engaged in STEM Education is growing worldwide. They are pioneering in research, innovation and in training the next generation of STEM professionals. Their advances range from gaining a true understanding how the very young mind learns all the way to how best to merge all the STEM disciplines at medical school, to name just a few examples. In this panel we showcase the advances made in this discipline, the opportunities that the panelists see for future research and innovation in education, and the impact their work has had on the lives of the next generation.
Mentor/Mentee session A session that will not only address challenges that today’s women in technology face, but also help provide an opportunity for mentor/mentee relationships that will carry forth after the conference
