Brett Feldman is a principal research analyst with Navigant Consulting, contributing to the Utility Transformations practice. With almost 20 years of experience in the utility sector, he focuses on demand-side management and smart grid programs and their implications for the global power industry. Prior to joining Navigant, Feldman was a principal for demand response at Constellation Energy, an energy efficiency program manager for Eversource, a consultant with Nexant in California after the Enron crisis, and an analyst at ICF supporting the US EPA’s Energy Star program. He has also served as the chair of the Business Issues Committee of the Association of Demand Response and Smart Grid, the chair of the New York Independent System Operator’s Price Responsive Load Working Group, the vice chair of the Independent System Operator-New England’s Demand Resources Working Group, and the co-chair of the Northeast Energy and Commerce Association’s Energy Efficiency and Demand Response Committee. A Certified Energy Manager, he is a former town councilor in Franklin, MA where he spearheaded the Franklin Solar Challenge to incentivize residents and businesses to install rooftop solar. Feldman holds a BA in economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Boston University.
