Dr. Narayanan (“KK”) Krishnakumar is SVP, Adaptive IT and Chief IT Architect at EMC. He is responsible for driving the IT as a Service Transformation and provides overall leadership for Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Platforms, and Digitization and Automation, and M&A. KK is also the IT executive for the EMC Engineering Divisions, the Office of the CTO and the EMC Federation. Recently, KK created and drove the Mobility, Data Science and the Information Management and Governance programs at EMC. KK also chairs the IT Technology Advisory Board working with EMC-wide functional CTOs and senior technologists. KK is a veteran technology leader with over 25 years experience in executive management and hands-on technical leadership, with expertise in all aspects of Cloud, Big Data, and Mobility. Before joining EMC, KK was SVP of Architecture at State Street Corporation, and the CTO at Investors Bank and Trust. KK holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University at Stony Brook (NY), an MBA from Babson College (MA) and a B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. KK has published a number of technical papers in leading journals, edited a book ‘Databases and Mobile Computing’, and has been invited to speak at several conferences.
