After having spent over 25 years in the field of Education Technology at Tufts University and MIT, Ranjani has taken on the challenge of supporting Ekal Vidyalaya, an organization that brings education and development to over 53000 very remote rural villages reaching 1.5 million children. A graduate of IIT Bombay, her interests lie in the use of computers and Internet to bring development to remote rural villages. She is spearheading the Ekal on WHEELS effort whereby mobile computer labs are being taken to villages to provide computer literacy. She is also the founder of Lokvani.com, a popular community e-magazine in the New England area. She is a well-trained classical dancer and has been recognized by the Governor of Massachusetts for her contribution to the arts. She was selected as the India New England Woman of the Year in 2012.
